What actually happens on the night?
Doors at 8. Five performers — drag, burlesque, cosplay and more — take the stage through the evening, there is a costume contest with individual and group categories, raffle draws, and a tarot reader in the room all night. It is a bar party, not a seated show: come when you like, stay as long as you like.
Do I have to wear a costume?
No. Costumes are encouraged and the contest has two categories — individual and group — but plenty of people come as themselves and have exactly as good a night. All are welcome, in whatever you turn up in.
What are the prizes?
Over $1,000 in cash and prizes across the costume contest and the raffles.
What does it cost, and where does the money go?
$20 in advance, $25 at the door. The Mystic Krewe of Pegasus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and this season's charity is the Tennessee Equality Project, which advocates for LGBTQ Tennesseans across the state.
Can I just turn up on the night?
Yes — it is $25 at the door. Buying ahead saves you five dollars and tells us how many of you to expect, which is the difference between a comfortable bar and a very full one.
How old do I have to be?
This is a 21+ event. Bring ID; Dru's Bar will ask for it.
