What is Gala XXIII?
It’s the night the Krewe puts on its show. The Mystic Krewe of Pegasus is Memphis’s LGBTQ+ Mardi Gras krewe, and since 2003 our annual charity night has been the biggest of our year: a stage full of costumed performers, a room dressed to match, and a new King and Queen. Everyone is welcome. This year, the whole show is sitcoms.

The show
Live musical numbers built on the sitcoms we all quote, performed by the Krewe in full costume.

The looks
Sequins, feathers, gowns and tuxedos. The audience dresses to be seen — the room is half the show.

The crown
Our reigning King and Queen crown their successors. Royalty, robes and a lot of confetti.

Questions
What actually happens on the night?
It is a performance gala. Live musical numbers built around the sitcoms we grew up with, an opening number the whole cast performs together, the parade of costumes, and the crowning of the new King and Queen of Pegasus. Cocktails at 6, curtain at 7.
Do I need to know anyone in the Krewe?
No. The Gala is open to everyone — buy a ticket and come. The Krewe was founded by and for Memphis’s LGBTQ+ community, and its doors have been open to the whole city since 2003.
What do I wear?
Black tie, or your best read on a sitcom you love. Sequins strongly encouraged. Full costume is always welcome — this is Carnival.
Is a ticket a donation?
The Mystic Krewe of Pegasus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and proceeds benefit the Tennessee Equality Project. Sponsorships carry a stated fair-market value, and most businesses expense the balance as marketing. Ask us for the breakdown on any level.
Why is a table more than ten tickets?
A Showrunner table is a marketing buy, not just seating — it carries a full-page ad, your logo on the screens and the website, social posts, and twenty drink tickets. And there are only twelve VIP tables in the room.
Can I still be a sponsor if my business is small?
Yes. Commercial Break is $100 for a full page, and Cameo Guest is $250 for a page plus two seats. Both put you in the program every guest takes home.
When do prices change?
Early-bird pricing on every discounted sponsor level ends November 15. Program artwork is due December 15, which is also the last day to move up a level.
